After failing to achieve profit targets, the company is streamlining operations and will reorganize the number of business units from five to three: food, agriculture and trade. This is also the first major reorganization implemented by its CEO Brian Sikes since he took over Cargill. In response, Cargill did not mention thereorganization, but acknowledged that it had announced a new strategy.
