It is understood that the State Administration for Market Regulation (National Standards Administration) recently approved and released the mandatory national standard GB 44917-2024 "Hygienic Requirements for Bulk Transportation of Edible Vegetable Oils", which will be officially implemented on February 1, 2025. The standard defines the terminology for bulk transportation of edible vegetable oils and stipulates basic requirements for bulk transportation containers, cleaning, maintenance and management, transportation operations, records and other hygienic requirements. Bulk transportation containers for edible vegetable oils should be food-specific containers. The words "Educable oil only" or "Food only" should be clearly marked on the outside of the container. The inside and outside of the container should be clean and hygienic. Containers transporting non-food items should not transport edible vegetable oils. Flexitanks used for bulk transportation of edible vegetable oil are single-use containers and should not be reused.
