商品说明

Cantharidin is a natural compound derived from the secretions of blister beetles, primarily species from the Mylabris and Lytta genera.

It is a potent vesicant, which means it can cause blistering when applied externally to the skin. Cantharidin has been used for centuries

in traditional medicine for various purposes, including the removal of warts and molluscum contagiosum.

In terms of its chemical structure, cantharidin is a terpenoid and a cyclic anhydride of cantharic acid.

It has the molecular formula C10H12O4 and a molecular weight of 196.2 grams per mole. Cantharidin is a white or colorless crystalline

solid with a melting point around 212-216 degrees Celsius.

As a raw material, cantharidin is mainly used in the production of pharmaceutical preparations for topical application.

However, due to its toxic nature, it is typically only available for medical use under prescription or as an ingredient in approved over-the-counter products.

It is important to note that cantharidin should be used with caution, as it can cause severe irritation, pain,

and potential systemic toxicity if not used properly.

Chemical properties:

Colorless flaky crystals, odorless. Mp218 ℃. Soluble in acetone (1:40), chloroform (1:65), ethyl acetate (1:150),

and oils, slightly soluble in ethanol, ether, and hot water, insoluble in cold water.
